Towns and cities all over the country hold parades with colourful floats and marching bands, dancers and people wear green clothes and a piece of clover called a shamrock.
The Ulster Fry is probably the best-known traditional dish of Northern Ireland. It is a big breakfast consisting of bacon, eggs, sausages, potato farls, black pudding, white pudding, vegetable roll, baked beans, tomatoes, mushrooms and soda bread served with coffee or tea.
The Giant's Causeway is one of Northern Ireland's most famous attractions. It is a spectacular area of over 40,000 basalt columns and is a World Heritage Site. According to legend, the giant Finn Mac Cool created this impressive causeway, but geologists believe it was the result of a volcanic eruption.
